The solid wood base provides the piece with its backbone, robust, grounded, and enduring. Against it, the suspended natural leather seat introduces a counterpoint of lightness and warmth, yielding gently to the body as it settles in. It is this dialogue between firmness and give, between the static and the living, that defines Nook's character.
Binding these two worlds together is a brass ring, a detail at once functional and ceremonial. More than a fastening, it is a statement of intent: the point where craft becomes visible, where beauty is not concealed but celebrated. Like all honest materials, the brass will patina, the leather will soften and shape itself, and the wood will deepen in tone. Nook is designed to grow more beautiful with time, not in spite of use, but because of it.
The name itself holds the key to the piece's spirit. Inspired by the bird's nest, nature's most elemental act of making shelter, Nook invites the user into an experience of quiet belonging. Much like a nest that moulds itself around its inhabitant, the chair adapts to each body over time, offering a comfort that is personal and earned.
This is a piece born from a creative dialogue across two continents: the inventive energy of Brazilian design meeting the rigour and refinement of Portuguese craftsmanship, united by a shared respect for natural materials, leather, wood, and the time it takes to work them well.
